Renting a Motorhome can be an ideal way to holiday. You can go where you want when you want and you can take the family, even the dog. Motorhomes otherwise known as RV's (recreational vehicles) are a fantstic way to spend time together and you can save money by holidaying in this way, as it can be cheaper than staying in a B&B or Hotel.
Motorhomes can be rented from private individuals or dealerships who sometimes offer a try before you buy service. You can rent them daily, weekly, weekends only or even monthly. Rates will depend on length of time, time of year, the motorhome size and birth. Milage may be included in rental costs or it may be an extra.
Some dealerships will give you a discount for booking and paying a deposit in advance.
There may be some limits as far as age of driver goes, some dealers only rent motorhomes to those over 25.
Some Insurance policies may cover motorhome insurance on rentals and some may not, you should also be aware that only drivers covered under the insurance are the ones that will be allowed to drive, so it's wise to make the decision on who and how many drivers there will be at an early stage.
You should shop round when looking to hire a motorhome, ensure that whichever deal you go for, you have all the accessories you require, do you require an awning for extra room. If you wish to take a pet, ensure that you are allowed to take your pet in the van you wish to hire as some do not allow pets at all.
Make sure that you have enough belted seats for the number of people that will be travelling with you.
